FORCED OMISSION ARCHIVE

An Archive of Suppressed Intellectual Histories

The Forced Omission Archive is an ongoing artistic research project dedicated to preserving erased histories and bringing forgotten voices back into public memory. Every contribution helps preserve archival materials, expand research, produce publications, and ensure that these erased histories are remembered, shared, and become part of our collective knowledge for present and future generations.

Forced Omission is made possible through the generosity of individuals who believe that suppressed histories deserve to be remembered. We are deeply grateful to the supporters who have helped bring this archive to life:

Jennifer Acker • Aurora De Armendi • Suzanne Anker • Anna Blanco • Maria Elena Blanco • Jennifer Castle • Susanna Coffey • Amanda Lucia Cote • Anne Galperin • Massimiliano Gioni • Molly Gochman • Andrew Jack • Delphine Fawundu • Marielena Ferrer-Harrington • Andrea Frank • Caroline Hershey • Melissa Hougland • Will Hutnick • Emily Knapp • Susan Conway Knapp • Koyoltzintli • Maya Lifshitz-Ungar • Laura Murray • Matthew O’Neill • Elizabeth Peck • Justin Pietropaolo • Andres Pletch • Robert Polito • Ikechukwu Sharpe • Viktorsha Uliyanova • Madeline Veitch • Juri Wawra • Michael Werner • Reva Wolf • Zheng Yuan • Andrea Zittel

Special thanks to Roman Romanov and the courageous staff of the GULAG History Museum for sharing invaluable archival resources that became foundational to Forced Omission. Deep gratitude also goes to the project's collectors, whose support has sustained its growth, and to the communities at MacDowell Residency and the Studios at MASS MoCA for providing the time, space, and inspiration that made this work possible.
